Kitchen for Leff Construction

Here’s a project we photographed for Leff Construction of Sebastapol.  The whole house had been remodeled and we spent a day and a half on this project photographing most of the interior spaces as well as some of the exterior spaces. We worked with Karen Ellis, the Marketing Director at Leff Construction. Karen was motivated to hire a professional photographer since Leff Construction is entering the project in design competitions.  She is planning to submit this project to NARI for the Contractor of the Year (CotY) awards.  Leff Construction focuses on green design. Karen says

we try to incorporate green practices in everything, and it can be quite subtle.  Most appliances are energy star rated, the toilets are usually dual flush, and new windows are always energy-use reducing.

The architect on the project was Marylyn Standley, and Karen says

She’s really wonderful and a good friend.

The kitchen designer is James Blair, DreamSpace Designs. James joined us for the photo shoot and helped with staging and art direction.  Having a good assortment of fresh flowers and produce really helps bring a kitchen to life. It doesn’t take much in the way of props, but I like to create an image where you feel like you can just step into the kitchen, and go to work.
